17th Century Recumbent Spaniel
A 17th century English carved alabaster model of a recumbent spaniel, later mounted on a black marble plinth. Dimensions: The dog - 7.5cm long x 5cm wide x 3cm high; overall with plinth - 9cm long x 5.5cm wide x 4.5cm high.
Provenance: Spetchley Park.
Condition: losses of front forelegs which are evident in the images. With some minor scuffs and bruises to the surfaces of the alabaster in areas.
