A japanned metal tray, 19th century
The blue ground decorated with diagonal stylised foliate tendrils, within an upright border decorated with a zig-zag pattern -- 18.3/4in. (47.5 cm) sq.
Condition: some losses in areas to the surface japanning. One corner slightly discoloured with yellowing, probably due to excessive heat.
