A Burkina Faso carved wood headrest or stool, early 20th century
19.3/4in. (50 cm) long; 7in. (17.5 cm) at highest point; 7.1/2in. (19 cm) deep
Condition: As can be seen in the images there are numerous shrinkage cracks which give the headrest a sculptural quality. Other than this the normal wear and tear one might expect with a piece of such age and use.
